DEEP HOUSE DJ REMEMBERED

The 34-year-old mix engineer and DJ died last week in a car crash near Mahikeng, North West.
Legendary DJ Vinny Da Vinci who was one of the DJs playing at his tribute memorial last night at House 22 in Pretoria said Scotch was a lovely soul.
“I remember very well when I met Scotch. It was a while back when I was deejaying in Limpopo. He was on the dance floor holding an iron bar, which was where his nickname Iron Rods came from. He was a kind guy and I loved his style of deejaying,” said Vinny
Gibson Ramafora, also known as SK-dog, said he was organising a tribute show for his fallen brother.“All the DJs won’t be paid and funds raised will go to the family. Scotch was a father and we need to support his family,” Gibson said.
Friends of DJ Scotch will be hosting different fundraising events for the late DJ’s family this whole week.DJ Scotch’s older sister, Mahlodi Lentsoane-Mphahlele, said she couldn’t believe he was gone. “I feel like this is just a dream and we will wake up to find it was all a mistake. This is too painful,” she said. The Limpopo Music Awards also paid tribute to Scotch, saying he was known for his deep house tunes.
